The Rothschild — Vega Sicilia alliance in Rioja Alta. Single-estate Tempranillo, French finesse and Spanish temperament in the format that best favours the long-term expression of the terroir.
Único in Magnum (1.5 L) is one of the formats most sought after by collectors. The ratio of wine to oxygen in the neck of the bottle is more favourable, which slows its evolution and encourages greater aromatic complexity over the years.
For the full wine page, history, ageing and tasting notes, see the main Macán page. For other large formats, see all Vega Sicilia magnums.
