Pintia 2016 — Balanced ripening. An elegant, fruity Pintia with polished tannins.
A balanced year in Toro, and a more polished Pintia than usual. Very deep, almost opaque purple-garnet. A powerful yet defined nose —blackberry, black plum, liquorice, pepper and toast— with Toro's rusticity tamed. On the palate it is broad and fleshy, with abundant, already rounded tannins and a long, spicy finish. Toro strength with good manners; drinking very well.
Around 12 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing.
Tinta de Toro (local Tempranillo) 100%.
Chargrilled red meats, game, spiced stews and aged sheep's cheeses.
16–18 °C. Decant for at least one hour to open up its aromas.
