A blend of the warmest, sunniest vintages (2009, 2011 and 2012): the most hedonistic edition of the lot. Dense garnet ink. A lush nose of stewed plum and blackberry, fig, chocolate, sweet spices and noble toast. On the palate it is opulent, glyceric and enveloping, with fleshy tannins and a long, lush finish; more sensual than taut. For those who seek the generous side of the house. Enjoyable now, with room to age.
Each base vintage is aged for more than ten years separately; Vega Sicilia then blends the three harvests and the wine continues to mature before release.
