Valbuena 5º 2020 — A cool, rainy spring that delayed budbreak; a summer without heat spikes and a harvest with good ripeness. Fresh, aromatic wines with fine tannins.
Another excellent year, with silky tannins and a more immediate profile. Deep, clear garnet. Fresh, precise aromas of red and black fruit, violet, liquorice and fine, well-integrated toast. On the palate it is silky, balanced and very drinkable, with polished tannins, vibrant acidity and an elegant finish; all the class of 2019 with a friendlier approach. Enjoyable now, with no rush to open it.
